Spring in the Rockies
The Colorado Rockies have started Spring Training in Arizona. We are experiencing weather from snow to spring like in the 60's.
If you have cabin fever please join us for an art opening for Elayne Moseley with her prints of Denver in a summer setting.
She has a fresh approach to looking at some of Denver's landmarks.
DOWNTOWN DENVER DRAWINGS
Artist Elayne Moseley has created a unique set of five drawings depicting iconic Denver scenes.
Among them are:
-- the first-base entrance of Coors Field,
-- a summer day on the 16th Street Mall
-- a view of the Denver Art Museum buildings
These are just a hint of the line drawings she has created and had reproduced. The idea for this set of drawings came about while working on a commission for some paintings of Denver. In the process she realized these marker drawings had a beauty all their own. After creating several more drawings, five were chosen that best represented the different aspects of the city.
An opening reception with Elayne Moseley will be held on Friday, March 7, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the gallery at 1455 Curtis Street. This event is free and open to the public. This artist will be featured at the gallery through March 21, 2014.
The reception will also feature a sneak peak of Silver Lady Jewelry, the exciting and affordable Native American creations which will be April's featured artistry.
